Pedialyte freezer pops are a cool way to quickly replenish lost fluids and electrolytes to help prevent dehydration due to diarrhea and/or vomitting and help you feel better fast. Just freeze and you're ready to rehydrate!


Medicinal Ingredients:
Sodium chloride, potassium citrate.

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Water, dextrose (25 g/L), citric acid, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, sucralose, acesulfame-potassium.

Additional ingredient(s) for Grape: Natural and artificial grape flavour, FD&C Red No. 40, FD&C Blue No. 1.
Additional ingredient(s) for Cherry: Natural and artificial cherry flavour, FD&C Red No. 40.
Additional ingredient(s) for Orange: Natural and artificial orange flavour, FD&C Yellow No. 6, FD&C Red No. 40.
Additional ingredient(s) for Blue Raspberry: Natural and artificial blue raspberry flavour, FD&C Blue No. 1.

Contact a Health Care Professional:

Prior to use in children under 2 years old;
If diarrhea persists beyond 24 hours and if diarrhea is accompanied by a persistent fever;
Prior to use if symptoms of dehydration, vomiting or diarrhea are severe;
Prior to or during treatment if the following symptoms occur: puffy eyelids, dizziness, fast heart beat, irritability, muscle twitching, restlessness, swelling of feet or lower legs, weakness, changes to blood pressure, bloody or mucus-like stools or seizure;
Prior to use in frail patients of advanced age;
Prior to use in patients with chronic illness (e.g. diabetes mellitus) at risk from secondary complications.
Do not use if you have kidney problems, severe dehydration with symptoms of shock, diabetes mellitus in which blood sugar is difficult to regulate, the inability to drink, or a gastro-intestinal condition (e.g. intestinal obstruction, paralysis of the intestine or perforated bowel). If mild vomiting occurs at the beginning of oral therapy, stop the therapy for 10 minutes and then continue to slowly administer the solution in small amounts.

Children < 2 years:
Consult a physician before using Pedialyte®.

Children 2-11 years:
50-100 mL (1-2 freezer pops) per kg of body weight per day.Offer as frequently as desired.16-32 freezer pops may be needed per day.Continue as long as diarrhea or vomiting is present.

Adolescents > 12 years and adults:
Offer as frequently as desired.16-32 freezer pops may be needed per day.Continue as long as diarrhea or vomiting is present.

This easy-to-use chart suggests the daily dosage requirements of Pedialyte® in millilitres. The volume necessary is based on weight. For children under
2 years of age, consult your physician before using Pedialyte®.
