Children’s Advil Cold & Flu Multi-symptom temporarily relieves the combined symptoms associated with cold and flu: runny nose; sneezing; stuffy nose; fever; sore throat pain; headache; body aches; itchy, watery eyes; sinus pain. Available in a great-tasting berry flavour for kids ages 6-12.
Active Ingredients (per 5 ml):
Ibuprofen 100 mg (Fever reducer / Pain reliever)
Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 15 mg (Nasal decongestant)
Chlorpheniramine maleate 1 mg (Antihistamine)

Non-Medicinal Ingredients:
Carboxymethylcellulose sodium, citric acid, edetate disodium, FD&C blue no.1, FD&C red no. 40, flavour, glycerin, microcrystalline cellulose, polysorbate 80, purified water, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate, sorbitol, sucralose, xanthan gum.
Do not give to children taking acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) or other products containing ibuprofen, decongestants, or antihistamines, or to anyone who has had an allergic reaction (difficulty in breathing, swelling, hives, asthma or shock) after using ASA, other salicylates, anti-inflammatory drugs or any of the listed ingredients. Do not use if child has an ulcer, gastrointestinal disease; lupus; kidney, liver or thyroid problems; asthma; heart disease; before or after heart surgery or if dehydrated (significant fluid loss) due to vomiting, diarrhea or lack of fluid intake. Do not use if child is taking or has taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) within the last 14 days for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions. Do not exceed the recommended dose unless advised by a doctor. Consult a doctor before giving in case of diabetes, chronic breathing problems, or hemophilia. May cause drowsiness or excitability.

Stop use and call your doctor if:
• Your child does not get any relief within 24 hours.
• Redness or swelling is present in the painful area.
• Cold or flu symptoms do not improve within 3 days.
• Symptoms worsen, last for more than a week or are accompanied by a high fever (>38°C) or the production of thick yellow/green phlegm.
• Sore throat is severe, lasts for more than 2 days or occurs with a fever or headache.

In case of overdose, call a poison control centre or a doctor at once even if there are no symptoms.
Shake well before use. Use only the measuring device provided. Dose is best determined from the weight of your child; otherwise use your child’s age. Doses may be repeated every 6 hours while symptoms persist, up to 4 doses a day, or as directed by a doctor. Please read all instructions prior to use. Children under 6 years – DO NOT USE.

Children 6-12 years, Weight 21.4-43.0 kg/48.95 lbs, dose = 10 mL (2 teaspoons)

Do not exceed the recommended dose unless directed by a physician. Do not use longer than 3 days for a fever or 5 days for pain relief or cold/flu symptoms.
Ibuprofen reduces fever and pain, body aches, sore throat and headache. Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride is a nasal decongestant to relieve stuffy nose. Chlorpheniramine maleate is an antihistamine to treat runny nose, sneezing, itchy and watery eyes.

SIDE EFFECTS AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT THEM
Children’s Advil Cold & Flu Multi-symptom may occasionally produce unwanted side effects, such as heartburn, constipation, nausea, bloating, dry mouth, nervousness or sleeplessness. May cause drowsiness or excitability. Do not use when child is engaged in activities requiring mental alertness.

Stop use and contact a doctor or pharmacist if these symptoms worsen or persist.
Consult your physician if:
• Your child does not get any relief within 24 hours.
• Redness or swelling is present in the painful area.
• Cold or flu symptoms do not improve within 3 days.
• Symptoms worsen, last for more than a week or are accompanied by a high fever (>38°C) or the production of thick yellow/green phlegm.
• Sore throat is severe, lasts for more than 2 days or occurs with a fever or headache.

The risk of having side effects may be decreased by using the smallest dose for the shortest duration of time.

In case of accidental overdose, call a Poison Control Centre or a doctor immediately, even if there are no symptoms.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist what prescription or other non-prescription drugs your child is taking or planning to take.

• Acetaminophen
• Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA)
• Allergy medications
• Anticoagulants (blood thinning medications)
• Anti-depressants
• Anti-hypertensives (blood pressure medications)
• Antibiotics (levofloxacin)
• Benzodiazapines
• Cold medications
• Corticosteroids
• Cyclosporine
• Diabetes medication (including insulin and oral antidiabetic agents)
• Digoxin
• Diuretics (water pills)
• Lithium
• Methotrexate
• Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors
• Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs); including naproxen and ibuprofen
• Phenytoin
• Probenecid
• Thyroxine
• Tranquilizers or other sedating drugs
